Slanting Path Points

Choose the Shear tool to slant path points around a reference point.

To slant one or more path points, first select the path points using the Path Selection tool. With the Shear tool active, tap and drag anywhere on the canvas to slant the points around the reference point.

Tap and drag to begin slanting the selected point, and then tap and hold with a second finger to slant selected path points on only one axis (horizontally or vertically).

Path points can also be slanted numerically using the Tool pane settings. Set the vertical and horizontal shear angles, and then click Shear to apply the transformation.

By default, the reference point will be located in the center of the selected object. To use a different location for the reference point, drag it or simply tap (without dragging) to set it at that new location.

Tip: When Snap to Grid is enabled, tapping to move the reference point will snap it to the grid.
